For instance some labs or classes are only offered at practice times.

How does the school administer testing during the season? Some schools have a tutor who travels with the team, some allow tests to be taken upon return and some before you go. Understanding the flexibility/inflexibility is important.

Who is responsible for the equipment and it's maintenance?

Ask to see the School's NCAA parent guide, this will help you understand their commitment to the compliance necessary for your son to maintain his eligibility.

Do the players at the school participate in the summer colligate leagues? If so which leagues typically?

For admissions:
Do you accept AP credits? - Not all schools do.
Will you accept credits I take over the summer at another university/junior college, if so what is the criteria?
What academic scholarships am I eligible to receive in addition to my athletic scholarship (for instance if you are National Merit, or top 10%)

Academic scholarships are not dependent on athletics, one day you student may decide (gasp) baseball is not for them - if you don't secure all the academic scholarships up front you can't get them later.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
